Sturgis Rally FAQ

How close is Suzie’s Camp to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally?

Suzie’s Camp is just 2 miles South of Sturgis, right off I-90 (Exit 34), making it an ideal spot for rally-goers who want a convenient place to stay.

Suzie’s offers:
  • 18 dry cabins 
  • 60 RV sites with 30 amp and 50 amp hookups – 100+ feet long
  • Tent or dry camping: 20’ wide x 12’ deep. We don’t reduce our tent site size for Rally.  We always offer large sites. 
  • RV rentals, so you can ride in and have a ready place to stay.  Call Jack’s Camper’s to make your RV reservation and they will have it parked with us, hooked up and ready for your arrival. (605) 787-9010

    Overflow parking available for trailer parking but most sites have plenty of room to accommodate you. 

  • Tent and dry camping are priced at $25 per person, per day.
  • For RV site rates – $1300 for 50 amp service, 7 days, $30-$40 a day beyond, $1000 for 30 amp, call for shorter day availability and rates.

No extra charge for bikes, trailers or vehicles

Yes. Suzie’s features Miss Suzie’s Bath House, which has:
  • Hot showers
  • Laundry facilities
  • Flushing toilets (men’s and women’s) + additional outhouse-type toilets
Yes — picnic tables are provided at every site upon request.  Tables are wood and plastic, so please request a block of wood to place your cook stove on if you plan to cook on your plastic picnic table. 
 
Other amenities include:
  • Bike ramps to help unload your bike easily.
  • Fast Internet (cabin guests especially can enjoy it).
  • Pets allowed, so your animal companion is welcome.

Yes. During the Sturgis Rally, Suzie’s Camp runs a full-service Breakout Saloon & Restaurant with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Yes — Suzie’s Camp notes Da Bus, the Sturgis shuttle service, connects from the campground.

Absolutely. Suzie’s welcomes family reunions and groups, making it a solid choice for large rally gatherings.

We do not have quiet hours.  It can be really hot in August during the rally so we allow generators to be run through the night.  Please plan accordingly and bring ear plugs if the sound of bikes and vehicles coming and going, generators and the conversations of nearby campers will disturb you. 

When is the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally?

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is held every year in early August and runs for 10 days. Dates vary slightly each year, but it always falls during the first full week of August.

Most riders book 6–12 months in advance. Many campgrounds sell out well before summer, so early reservations are strongly recommended.

Many campgrounds set a minimum stay due to high demand and difficulties coordination campers coming and and checking out.

RV sites and Cabins have a minimum 7 days stay, tent camping has a 3 day minimum.

We offer full hookup RV sites, tent sites and dry cabins. 

Absolutely! We welcome riders. All motorcycle-friendly rules apply, and we offer easy parking access and safe routes throughout the property.

Amenities include a shower house, coin operated laundry, bathrooms and Wi-Fi.

Yes, guests are welcome and we have ample parking at all of our sites. 

You can go directly into Sturgis from I-90 which runs in front of the campground.
